How to Unlock Your iPhone Without Passcode or Face ID

Using Siri to Bypass the Lock Screen
Did you know that you can use Siri to bypass the lock screen of your iPhone? This method works on iPhones that are running iOS 8.0 to iOS 10.1. Here’s how you can do it:
- Activate Siri by pressing and holding the home button.
- Ask Siri what time it is. Siri will display the current time on the lock screen.
- Tap on the clock icon to open the Clock app.
- Press the “+” button to add a new clock.
- In the “Choose a City” field, type any random text and select it.
- Tap the “Share” button and select “Message.”
- Type any random text in the “To” field, and tap “Return.”
- Tap on the “Create New Contact” button.
- Add a photo to the contact by tapping on the “Add Photo” button.
- Tap “Choose Photo,” and select any photo from your photo library.
- Press the home button to exit the app.
- Voila! You’re now on the home screen of your iPhone without entering the passcode.
Note that this method only works on older versions of iOS and may not work on newer versions of iOS. Additionally, Apple has patched this vulnerability in iOS 10.2 and later versions. Therefore, we do not recommend using this method to access someone else’s iPhone without their consent.
Using iTunes to Remove the Passcode
If you’ve synced your iPhone with iTunes before, you can use iTunes to remove the passcode from your iPhone. Here’s how:
- Connect your iPhone to the computer that you synced it with.
- Launch iTunes on your computer.
- If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with or use recovery mode.
- Once iTunes recognizes your iPhone, click on the iPhone icon.
- Click on “Summary” in the left sidebar.
- Click on “Restore iPhone.”
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the restore process.
- Once the restore process is complete, you can set up your iPhone as a new device and create a new passcode.
Note that this method will erase all data and settings on your iPhone, so make sure to back up your iPhone before restoring it. Additionally, if you’ve never synced your iPhone with iTunes before, this method will not work.
Using iCloud to Erase Your iPhone
If you have enabled Find My iPhone on your iPhone and have access to your iCloud account, you can use iCloud to erase your iPhone remotely. Here’s how:

Note that this method will erase all data and settings on your iPhone, so make sure to back up your iPhone before erasing it. Additionally, if you haven’t enabled Find My iPhone on your iPhone, this method will not work.
Using Recovery Mode to Reset Your iPhone
If you have never synced your iPhone with iTunes or enabled Find My iPhone, you can use recovery mode to reset your iPhone. Here’s how:
- Connect your iPhone to your computer using a USB cable.
- Launch iTunes on your computer.
- Force restart your iPhone by pressing and holding the home button and the power button simultaneously. Keep holding the buttons until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
- Once your iPhone is in recovery mode, iTunes will display a message saying that your iPhone is in recovery mode and needs to be restored.
- Click on “Restore.”
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the restore process.
- Once the restore process is complete, you can set up your iPhone as a new device and create a new passcode.
Note that this method will erase all data and settings on your iPhone, so make sure to back up your iPhone before restoring it. Additionally, if your iPhone doesn’t enter recovery mode, you may need to try again or contact Apple Support for assistance.
Preventing Future Lockouts: Tips and Tricks
Getting locked out of your iPhone can be frustrating, but there are a few tips and tricks you can use to prevent future lockouts. Here are some suggestions:
Set up Touch ID or Face ID: If your iPhone supports Touch ID or Face ID, set it up to unlock your iPhone instead of using a passcode.
Use a longer passcode: If you don’t have Touch ID or Face ID, use a longer passcode that is harder to guess. You can do this by going to “Settings” > “Face ID & Passcode” or “Touch ID & Passcode” and selecting “Change Passcode.” Then, select “Passcode Options” and choose “Custom Numeric Code” or “Custom Alphanumeric Code” to create a longer passcode.
Enable “Erase Data” feature: Enable the “Erase Data” feature under “Settings” > “Face ID & Passcode” or “Touch ID & Passcode.” This feature will erase all data on your iPhone after 10 failed passcode attempts.
Use a password manager: Use a password manager like LastPass or 1Password to store your passcode securely. This will prevent you from forgetting your passcode and getting locked out of your iPhone.
Set up two-factor authentication: Set up two-factor authentication for your Apple ID to add an extra layer of security to your account. This will prevent unauthorized access to your account and protect your data on all your devices, including your iPhone.
